Galaxy Wave, the ferry service for Roatan, offers daily trips between Roatan and La Ceiba, the latter which is on the northern coast of Honduras. The duration of the journey is about one hour twenty minutes, obviously depending on the sea conditions. Safeway Marine took delivery of their new "Incat Fast Ferry" in September 2006. The new ferry is able to carry 460 passengers at a speed of 36 knots.

The cost is approximately $21 one way or $42 roundtrip to La Ceiba from Roatan.

The Utila Princess runs daily from Utila to La Ceiba and back at a cost of about $15 each way.
